Interoperability Checking

In funStep community case, the Interoperability Checking (IC) plays an important rule to the stakeholders, providing an easy way to check if they are able to exchange data information between them without incorrectness and misinterpretations.

IC methodology

The first step, by the company, is try to read in its system the XML file provided by the funStep community IC system. The company system must be able to read correctly the information described in the file to improve the next step. After company’s check the test file, it must modify it and send it back to funStep IC system. funStep IC system analyse the modified file sent by the company, being able to understand the information modified by the company’s system.

If the information is correctly in the modified file, the funStep IC can notify company that their systems pass the current test. Then company must pass to the second test, executing the same steps. Doing all the defined test files, funStep can ensure the Interoperability of the company’s system.

The IC test files are based in the funStep Conformance Classes:

CC1 - Conformance class for Catalogue data information
CC2 - Conformance class for Catalogue data information and shape representation
CC3 - Conformance class for Parameterized catalogue data information
CC4 - Conformance class for Furniture interior decoration
CC5 - Conformance class for Parameterized catalogue data and shape representation
CC6 - Conformance class for AP236 furniture catalogue and interior design

To begin the Interoperable Checking, please go to the Test Files pages and download the required files to test. Then, follow the modified tests and upload the modifications in the Upload Files page.
